Counselor/CIT
This is our strongest volunteer need, as we can only accept campers when we have enough counselors. Counselors will work together to provide care, support, supervision, and friendship to campers with disabilities, ages 8–80.
For Weekend Getaways, counselors will typically be responsible for one, two or three campers in a small-group setting. Counselors will oversee the needs, safety, and care of the campers in their group. Counselors should be comfortable supporting multiple campers at once and should not expect to receive 1:1 match up. Campers are carefully grouped to ensure their needs can be appropriately supported within the group setting.  Additional direct support will be provided to Counselors-in-Training (CITs), ages 14–17.
There is no experience needed.
