Our mission is to provide people with disabilities year-round opportunities for social, spiritual, and personal growth. Weekend Getaways are a chance to do just that. At Weekend Getaways campers will get a chance to take part in brand new rec activities, dive deeper into favorite camp areas, and grow closer to God and others by digging into camp’s theme for the year in chapel and small groups. Whether it’s a weekend just for the girls, just for the guys, or the whole camp family, each camper will be immersed in an experience that reinforces the promise that God made them, loves them, and has a plan for their lives.

We value multi-generational community, where every generation is represented to create a full family.

Our volunteers’ ages must reflect the age range of our campers, ages 8-80+. There are volunteer positions for ages 14 to 99!

Volunteer Opportunities: Invest your time at Camp Daniel and make a long lasting and direct impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities.

Cabin Counselor

This position is our strongest need as we can only accept campers if we have enough counselors. Cabin Counselors are paired with 1 or more Co-Counselors to help assist the campers in your cabin. Campers are people with disabilities ages 8-80.  Unlike summer camp, Cabin Counselors will not necessarily be paired up 1 on 1 with a camper. Instead, cabin counselors will work as a team with your Co-Counselor(s) to care for and be a friend to the campers in your cabin. Cabin groups are selected carefully to provide support for all campers and counselors in each cabin. Extra direct support will be given to Counselors-in-Training(CITs), counselors ages 14-17 .

I remember the first time I dropped Kristofor off 19 years ago at Camp Daniel for his first time away from me, and I cried and cried all week and I do believe I called camp a few times, and I think I called the next year to, but now 19 years later I drop off and get to enjoy a week of free time and pick him up and he’s all smiles and has had a great time, you guys at camp have no idea how much we appreciate you giving your time to spend with my son, keeping his faith going, keeping him safe and making memories.

I LOVE my Camp Daniel family! One memory stands out is jumping off the raft, and the famous camp dance. I can't wait until this summer, I'm so excited.
