Megan Petty

Full-Time Missionary Staff

Megan comes to us from Massachusetts and has spent the last nine years walking alongside individuals with disabilities and their families as The Happy Place Director at Bethany Community Church, Mendon, MA. Previously, she attended Westfield State University majoring in Special Education, and worked abroad in Dublin, Ireland as an assistant with L’Arche Community. In 2019, she volunteered for a week of summer camp and fell in love with all that Camp Daniel is and does for the disability community. Megan is passionate about providing community and vocational training opportunities for individuals with special needs. She will work in the Camper Max program as well as many other Camp Daniel programming aspects.

“My time developing and creating support for individuals with special needs has shown me there’s nothing more important for me to do with the rest of my life than to highlight the uniqueness and abilities of individuals with disabilities. I hope that my passion for fostering community, creativity, and job readiness skills for individuals with special needs will be an asset to the Camp Daniel team. I’m walking into this season with open hands and fully expecting to see the goodness of God at work within Camp!

All the staff at Camp Daniel are full-time missionaries to people with disabilities, and like other missionaries, Megan will need to raise $1,000 in financial support to pay utilities, food, transportation, and other costs of living. She humbly requests your consideration for financial support, whether it’s a contribution of $10, $20, $50, or $100 per month. Your generosity will play a pivotal role in enabling her to fulfill this meaningful mission.
