I’m very excited to let you all know that I will be a part of the Camp Daniel Summer Internship Program this summer!! This is a camp for people with disabilities where they get to come and have a week of fellowship and fun with their counselor and everyone around the camp. It is also a place where these campers get to learn and grow in their relationship with Christ through daily devotions, chapel, and a Christian-like atmosphere.  

During this internship, I will be building my leadership skills and furthering my ability to work in a team. I will be using the talents that God has given me to serve and do his will. Also, during this internship, I look forward to the opportunity to grow in my faith as I share God’s love with the people around me.

For the last eight years, my family has had a connection to Camp Daniel, and it has been such a blessing in my life. I have served both as a counselor and as part of the pit crew. It was completely God’s plan and gift to give me a brother (Amos) with Down Syndrome after we already knew about camp. Living life daily with a little sibling with Down Syndrome can be difficult at times, but it is one of the greatest blessings. Having Amos in our family has connected me to the disability community and has made my love for people with disabilities grow as I’ve gotten older. Special things happen at this camp that you don’t get to see in other places, and it is truly an amazing place to see God work.

As I prepare for this opportunity, I would appreciate support from family and friends around me. I definitely need your prayers as I start this journey. Also, I would appreciate it if you prayerfully consider supporting me financially.  I will be spending seven weeks at this camp, and I need to raise $800 to cover the cost of this internship which will include food, housing, and some other expenses over this adventure.
